Andrew J. Duffy, CFA is a Managing Partner, Chief Investment Officer and Senior Portfolio Manager of Ranger Global Real Estate Advisors. Mr. Duffy has over 30 years of experience as an investor in global real estate securities. From 2009 to 2016, Mr. Duffy was the President of Ascent Investment Advisors, LLC. He has been the Senior Portfolio Manager of the James Alpha Global Real Estate Investments Fund (“JARIX”) since its inception in 2009.
Prior to 2009, Mr. Duffy was a Managing Director with Citigroup Principal Strategies, where he managed a long-short portfolio of global real estate securities. Previously, he was the Co-Portfolio Manager of the Hunter Global Real Estate Fund, and from 1999 until 2006, a Portfolio Manager at TIAA-CREF, where he was responsible for managing over $3 billion in global real estate equity and debt securities. Between 1993 and 1999, he was a Senior Research Analyst at Eagle Asset Management, where he launched and managed a dedicated real estate securities investment program with responsibility for fundamental analysis, securities selection and portfolio construction. Prior professional experience includes service as a Partner at Raymond James & Associates where, as an investment banker, he managed public offerings and advised on mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Duffy received a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1979 as a Distinguished Graduate (top 5% of his class), and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Harvard Business School in 1986. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1995.
Ryan D. Mannle is Director of Trading and Operations at Ranger Global Real Estate Advisors. Mr. Mannle has over 20 years of trading experience across several asset classes, including equities, foreign exchange, fixed income and commodities. Most recently, he was Vice President and Head of New York Trading at Caxton Associates, a multi-billion dollar Global Macro hedge fund. Previously, he traded equities and equity derivatives at Drawbridge Global Macro Fund, a division of Fortress Investment Group. Mr. Mannle began his trading career at Lazard Asset Management.
Mr. Mannle received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Colgate University in 2001 and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from Columbia Business School in 2012.
Todd A. Voigt, CFA is a Portfolio Manager focusing on the selection and management of international holdings at Ranger Global Real Estate Advisors. Mr. Voigt has more than 25 years of experience in the global real estate securities industry. From 2014 through 2016, he served as the Portfolio Manager for a long-short real estate fund at WMD Asset Management. Previously, he spent six years at Cohen & Steers Capital Management, where he served as a Portfolio Manager for multiple global real estate securities funds and UCITS, and eleven years at Cliffwood Partners, where his responsibilities included portfolio management and stock selection in both long-only and long-short strategies.
Mr. Voigt graduated from Claremont McKenna College in 1995 with dual degrees in Mathematics and Economics. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2005.
Jordan Sherman is a Portfolio Manager focusing on the selection and management of North American holdings at Ranger Global Real Estate Advisors. Mr. Sherman has more than 20 years of experience in the global real estate securities industry. From 2014 through 2016, he was a Portfolio Manager for Ascent Investment Advisors, LLC. Previously, he served for six years as a Portfolio Manager and Senior Analyst at Perennial Real Estate Investment, a $3 billion global real estate securities fund. He also spent six years at Satellite Asset Management, a $7 billion multi-strategy hedge fund, where he was an analyst covering a broad range of industries, including real estate, homebuilders and building products, and then managed a portfolio of real estate securities. He joined Satellite from Orme Capital Management, a start-up, long-short equity fund that merged into Satellite in August 2002.
Mr. Sherman previously worked on the sell-side, where he spent a total of seven years at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs providing research on transportation companies, and two years at Salomon Brothers as a special situations analyst covering a diverse group of companies. He began his career as a commercial banker at the Bank of Nova Scotia in New York, analyzing credit on a broad range of transactions for Fortune 1000 companies.
Mr. Sherman received a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from Binghamton University in 1984 and a Master of Business Administration in finance from New York University in 1989. Since 2010, Mr. Sherman has been an adjunct professor at New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate, where he teaches a course entitled REIT Investment Analysis.
Ivailo Petkov is a Portfolio Manager responsible for coverage of international markets at Ranger Global Real Estate Advisors. Mr. Petkov has more than 21 years of experience in the global real estate industry. Prior to joining the firm, he spent five years at Grosvenor Fund Management in London where he was Co-Portfolio Manager of the Grosvenor Real Estate Absolute Return Fund (a global long-short real estate fund) as well as a long-only real estate mandate, including research coverage of 200+ global REITs and REOCs. Previously, he worked for four years as a Real Estate Analyst at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (London) covering Europe, Australia and Canada; two years as a European Real Estate Analyst at UBS Investment Research (London); three years at LaSalle Investment Management (Paris) as a Financial Analyst and subsequently as a Property Asset Manager, and two years as a Financial Analyst at Archon Group in Frankfurt.
Mr. Petkov completed a BTS (two-year technical degree) in International Trade at Institut Superieur Europeen de Gestion in Bordeaux, France in 1998, and received a Majors in Finance from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Bordeaux, France in 2001.
Colin Trovato, CFA is a Portfolio Manager responsible for North American coverage at Ranger Global Real Estate Advisors. Mr. Trovato has over 15 years of experience in investment management with a focus on real estate and financial services. Prior to joining the firm, he was an Analyst at TIAA Global Asset Management, working on the Mid- and Large-Capitalization Value Funds which had assets in excess of $10 billion. Previously, he worked for five years as an Investment Analyst on the financial services research team at Columbia Management, and for two years as a Financial Leadership Program Associate at Washington Mutual Bank.
Mr. Trovato received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration in 2006 from the University of Washington with a major in Finance and a minor in French, along with his Certificate of International Business. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2010.
F. Scott Tuck is a Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Ranger Global Real Estate Advisors. Mr. Tuck has over 37 years of entrepreneurial sales, marketing and business leadership experience with more than 32 years of direct experience in buy-side asset. He was an original investor in Ranger Global’s predecessor firm, Ascent Investment Advisors, LLC, and advisor to that firm since 2013.
Mr. Tuck’s previous professional experience includes Fund Director and Partner for London-based frontier markets firm Silk Invest, Founding Partner of multi-strategy hedge fund Arrowhawk Partners, President and Chief Marketing Officer of Atlantic Asset Management, President and Chief Marketing Officer of Pacific Corporate Group Private Equity, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Marketing Officer of Montgomery Asset Management, and Managing Director and Founding Partner of Chancellor Capital Management. He currently serves as Senior Advisor to quantitative hedge fund manager BattleFin and Fund Director for New Delhi-based India value equity manager Value Quest. He began his business career with IBM Corporation in New York where he was President of IBM sales training and awarded the IBM Leadership Award during his five years with the company.
Mr. Tuck received a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1979.
Randy S. Lewis is a Partner and the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Ranger Global Real Estate Advisors. Mr. Lewis has over 12 years of experience in the securities business and 17 years of experience in the real estate industry. Mr. Lewis was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ascent Real Estate Securities, LLC, a FINRA member broker-dealer, and a Founder and Executive Vice President of Ascent Investment Advisors, LLC, a SEC-registered investment advisor.
Previously, Mr. Lewis was a commercial real estate broker and consultant assisting investors with the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate properties. In addition, he was a Registered Representative with Welton Street Investments (FINRA member broker-dealer) assisting investors with the acquisition of 1031 exchange properties in the form of real estate Tenant-in-Common investments.
Mr. Lewis graduated Magna Cum Laud from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1986 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics.
Jennifer Vaccaro is Director of Institutional Sales and Client Service at Ranger Global Real Estate Advisors. Ms. Vaccaro has over 31 years of buy-side asset management experience, including more than 27 years proudly serving institutional investors in the United States and Canada, representing a diverse array of clients and investment strategies. She is directly responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional asset owners and investment consultants.
Previously, Ms. Vaccaro was Director, Institutional Sales and Consultant Relations at Investec Asset Management, where she played a significant role in introducing and building the firm's presence in the North American institutional market. She also served as Senior Vice President and Regional Director at Franklin Templeton Institutional, Managing Director of Sales at Montgomery Asset Management/Wells Capital Management, and Vice President and Client Service Manager at Chancellor LGT Asset Management.
Ms. Vaccaro received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with a minor in Fine Arts in 1988 from Fairfield University. She is a founding member of the Boston Investment Professionals Charitable Giving and Volunteer Committee.
Mr. Saltzman is currently a Senior Advisor to, and Advisory Board Member of, Ranger Global Real Estate Advisors.
Mr. Saltzman has more than 41 years of experience in global financial services and the real estate investment business. Most recently, he was President, Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Colony Capital, Inc. (NYSE: CLNY). During a greater than 15 year tenure, he helped lead the transformation of the firm from a single opportunistic global strategy with approximately $3 billion of assets under management to a more multi-faceted diversified real estate investment manager and owner with approximately $43 billion of assets under management.
Prior to joining Colony, Mr. Saltzman concluded a 24 year career in investment banking specializing primarily in real estate-related businesses and investments. As Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Merrill Lynch's investment banking division, he oversaw the firm's global real estate, hospitality, and restaurant businesses, and was a member of the global investment banking operating committee. At Merrill, he also previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Global Investment Banking and had responsibility for the Global Leveraged Finance business. During this period, Mr. Saltzman was the architect of various pioneering real estate related capital markets innovations including the Kimco Realty IPO and the Zell/Merrill Lynch Real Estate Opportunity series of funds- the predecessor entities to Equity Office Properties (EOP), amongst others.
Mr. Saltzman currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Kimco Realty Corporation (NYSE:KIM) , RXR Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: RXRAU), and Equiem Holdings Pty Ltd., a privately owned Australian headquartered "prop-tech" firm focused on tenant experience platforms. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the I Have a Dream Foundation.
Mr. Saltzman received his Bachelor of Arts from Swarthmore College in 1977 and a Master of Science in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University in 1979.
Kelly L. Bauerle is a Senior Product Specialist at Ranger Global Real Estate Advisors. Ms. Bauerle has over 23 years of retail and institutional experience representing a diverse array of clients and investment strategies. She serves as a representative of the investment team in support of the firm’s business development and client service efforts, with responsibility for the development of investment-related content and marketing collateral, as well as oversight of portfolio analysis, competitor intelligence and maintenance of the firm’s GIPS composite.
Most recently, Ms. Bauerle was Senior Vice President, Marketing Operations and Client Relations at Easterly Funds, where she was responsible for marketing the firm’s mutual fund investment products as well as mutual fund operations and client support. She held various roles in sales, marketing, operations, and national accounts over her 11-year tenure with Easterly Funds. Previously she also served 12 years in various sales and management positions with Transamerica Capital, Old Mutual Investment Partners, American Express Financial Advisors, and Wells Fargo Bank.
Ms. Bauerle received a Master of Business Administration degree in 2002 from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts in 1999 from the University of Northern Colorado. She currently holds FINRA Series 24, 7 and 66 securities licenses.
Josh Blum is a Senior Product Specialist at Ranger Global Real Estate Advisors. Mr. Blum has over 13 years of institutional investment management experience, including more than 10 years as an analyst and trader investing in a variety of equity strategies. In his capacity at Ranger, he serves as a representative of the investment team in support of the firm’s business development and client service efforts, with responsibility for the development of investment-related content and marketing collateral, as well as oversight of portfolio analysis, competitor intelligence and maintenance of the firm’s GIPS composite.
Previously, Mr. Blum was a Director at Cliffwater LLC, an alternative investment adviser and fund manager overseeing all traditional asset manager research and conducting due diligence across equity, fixed income, and liquid real asset strategies. He also served as an analyst and trader focused on the equity capital markets at a number of multi-strategy long/short hedge funds including L1 Capital, BTG Pactual Asset Management, and Millennium Management.
Mr. Blum received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland in 2004 and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Fordham University in 2012.
